Wright Construction Services, Inc., a commercial construction firm, is seeking a qualified Pre-Construction Administrator to join our team in servicing our commercial and retail construction division.

The selected candidate will encompass the tools necessary to manage and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. The Preconstruction Administrator is responsible for providing a high level of coordination and project | marketing support for the Pre-Construction Team. This is accomplished by accurate and efficient practices prior to and on bid day as well as post-bid follow-up and documentation. Effective communication with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and all team players is vital to success.

Skills | Attributes | Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and participate in pre-construction meetings;
  • Assist in estimating projects, defining project scopes, encourage marketplace involvement; and securing proposals;
  • Actively engage in Dodge and BidClerk platforms;
  • Responsible to act as primary RFP Builder;
  • Participate in the buyout process;
  • Guiding owners | clients through the pre-construction process;
  • Comprehensively control activities related to estimating department;
  • Developing and maintaining pre-construction and estimating schedules;
  • Generates bid solicitations via Smartbidnet and updates | distributes addenda;
  • Communicating potential project requirements with project managers, project superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers;
  • Review and ensure front specifications are followed when preparing documentation to submit on bid day including bonding and insurance requirements, alternates, allowances, schedules, liquidated damages, etc.;
  • Actively target and research new projects, clientele, and market segments;
  • Identify business development, marketing, and growth opportunities;
  • Prepare and update marketing materials as need to foster business development opportunities and potentially submit with required bid documents;
  • Proficient computer skills is a necessity with a strong foundation in MS Office Suite of Applications and Adobe Acrobat;
  • Detail oriented self-starter with a high level of organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written;
  • Able to make good decisions under tight deadlines and able to solve difficult problems - multi-tasking and time management;
  • Critical thinker able to learn quickly and gain strategic insight;
  • Good listening skills to create a strong rapport with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel; and
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
