Wurth Revcar Fasteners, Inc, a division of the Wurth Group, with headquarters in Roanoke, VA, is currently seeking Pre-Production Quality Supervisor. The Pre-Production Quality Supervisor is responsible for interfacing with Customers, Suppliers, Engineering, Sourcing, Sales, and Quality groups regarding all PPAP documents – Prints, MTR’s, pFMEA, dFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Analysis, Dimensional Results, Qualified Lab Documents & Accreditation, PSW’s, AAR’s, and Records of Compliance & IMDS. In addition, responsibilities will also the include the review or executing of FAIR’s, ISIR’s, testing, or other identified evaluations necessary for the Part Approval Process and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Champion in the Production Part Approval Process
• Reads and interprets simple fastener prints and drawings and sets up inspection criteria in an internal inspection system – as back-up to Post Production Supervisor.
• Familiarizes self with the specifications of IFI (Industrial Fasteners Institute) and other standards to determine the correct application for specific parts.
• Support Post-Production Quality Manager on the Measurement Devices (Go/No Go ring, micrometers, optical comparator, warehouse scales, etc.) calibrations.
• Perform root-cause analyses from the company’s perspective, supplier’s perspective, and customer’s perspective pertaining to the Part Approval Process , while documenting issues and proposing a solution
• Purchase devices (as needed) - co-manages calibration for inspections.
• Generate reports or report trends/issues to Corporate Quality.

REQUIREMENTS

• MUST BE A UNITED STATES OR NATURALIZED CITIZEN as this role works with Military Contracts (ITAR).
• Two-year degree and/or two years of either Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Inspection, Metrology, or other relevant customer service experience.
• End user expertise with MS Office (i.e., Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel) required.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
