Position Summary:

The Content Director, At-Home Learning, has a passion for creating innovative content for children and the adults who support their learning at home. The Content Director, At-Home Learning, will expand successful product lines, propose and develop new product lines, and cultivate strategic partnerships to promote business growth within the trade channel.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Ideates new products and line extensions for the at-home learning market, using up-to-date knowledge of sales trends, competitors, and end-user needs
• Effectively manages a publication plan and product pipeline in alignment with the company mission, vision, and growth goals
• Cultivates meaningful cross-functional partnerships with authors, consultants, vendors, customers, sales teams, and end-users that positively impact the quality and market success of content development
• Champions projects through the publishing process, managing resources and problem-solving to meet project milestones and budgets
• Proactively collaborates with the marketing and sales teams to strategically promote products
• Effectively manages an annual budget and project budgets for the highest ROI and potential for business growth
• Collaborates with internal and/or external teams to support the creation and production of resources
• Uses data and reporting tools to support decision-making
• Consistently demonstrates effective leadership and mentoring skills to build capacity of staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years professional experience in educational publishing
• Bachelor’s degree in education, English, journalism, or related field
• Exceptional management and organizational skills
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to travel periodically for in-person meetings and events

Physical Requirements:

• Sit for extended periods of time, including at a computer
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse
