The Pre-Registration Representative is responsible for the accurate collection of demographic information for orderly registration of patients prior to patients being seen in the office.

Job Duties:

• Verifies all new patient appointments from the daily schedule for each assigned doctor.
• Checks benefits (i.e. referral requirements, copays, etc.) for each patient visit.
• Reviews schedules to verify complete information on all follow-up appointments.
• Ensure accurate capture of all demographic information for appointments for the following day. Verifies insurance coverage for each new patient one day prior to appointment.
• Provides assistance to other pre-registration staff, as needed, for all sites currently using Pre-Registration system.
• Communicates with the front desk staff, using the "comments" section in appointment scheduling.
• Logs on ACD appointment scheduling group on an as needed basis when queues are high.

Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office.
• One (1) year experience with medical billing, medical terminology, and coding preferred.
