Carlisle Fluid Technologies has an immediate opportunity for a Sheet Metal Worker in our Blaine facility. This position fabricates, figures, lays out, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products, utilizing knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.

What you’ll do:

• ***Must be able to set up and operate fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
• Selects gauge and type of sheet metal, such as galvanized iron, copper, steel, or aluminum.
• Repairs and maintains sheet metal products.
• May work with nonmetallic material, such as plastics or fiberglass, according to product specifications.
• Select and positions flat, V-block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using jib or crane.
• Operate press equipped with two or more rams to bend angles or flanges or bend to radius by successive passes; or operate multiple acting hydraulic press to perform deep progressive and reverse draw operations of sheet metal.
• Grinds out burrs and sharp edges, using portable grinder.
• Perform daily safety and preventative maintenance checks of equipment.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed and assigned.

Position Requirements

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma / GED.
• One (1) year sheet metal fabrication equipment experience.
• Able to lift 75 pounds

How to Stand Out:

• Two (2) year technical certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
