Introduction

We are looking for a Principal Engineer (PE) who will work on GF’s development of state-of-the-art Single Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs). The PE will be responsible in driving a differentiated technology development through various maturity milestones (from proof-of-concept to ready-for-production) by meeting the requirements for electrical, mechanical, thermal, reliability, and customer specifications and contribute to GLOBALFOUNDRIES' corporate objective to be the leader in providing feature-rich solution to customers.

Your Job

• Process integration to meet technology electrical & reliability performance requirement

• Design of SPAD process & test structures & Process and device simulations a plus

• Characterization of SPADs to guide process development

• Collaboration with development partners, process engineers, modelers, circuit designers and customers

• Good technical presentation skill for customer and discuss with cross functional team.

• Successful experience in technology photo sensor in advanced technology nodes like 45nm, 40nm

• Ability to translate customer/marketing requirements of yield, reliability, and performance into process integration deliverables for successful technology delivery to technical specs

• Lead working meetings and find solutions to process integration issues

• Consistent external publications or recognized expert in specialized area
  
  

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

• PhD / Masters /Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Physics/ Material Science / other engineering

• At least 10 years’ experience in process integration, but not limited to

• Knowledge in IC fabrication, Sensor related, and eNVM a plus

• Customer engagement for product

• Process device and module experience would be an added advantage and desirable

• Strong leadership qualities.

• Good communication skills with an open attitude as team player

• Strong technical knowledge and good decision-making skills

• Excellent analytical and optimization skills

• Coach engineers in advance skills and manage with trust and respect

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Masters /Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with a dissertation on SPADs

• Field of specialization: Optoelectronics
