Southern Marsh is seeking a fresh, talented, and organized Product Development Coordinator who is enthusiastic about working in the fashion and retail industry. As a member of the creative team, you must be ready and willing to take on a wide variety of projects and back up other team members, as needed. The Product Development Coordinator position will report to the Creative Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Aid in the sourcing of all fabric and materials needed for new product creation
• Assist the design team with brainstorming ideas for new product lines
• Help oversee day to day tasks of fashion design interns
• Responsible for the timeliness and quality of production reviews
• Maintaining the organization of samples throughout the office
• Send all comments to suppliers regarding changes and edits to new products

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 1-2 + years of relative industry experience in apparel development, retail, or project management
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multitask
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Must be able to perform efficiently in a high pressure, fast paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft excel
• Bachelor's degree in (or studying) related apparel focused field (Fashion Design, Product Development, Fashion/Merchandising Business)
• Independent, proactive work ethic
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Southern Marsh is a leading multi-channel retailer of apparel & gear in over 700 specialty retailers, a thriving e-commerce business, and a corporate-owned brick & mortar store in Gonzales, LA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
