Product Manager-Flexible Packaging -Hybrid
Sun Chemical is seeking a Product Manager to manage the flexible packaging product line. This includes responsibility for margin of the business, directing technical resources to support the business, and managing support and products of new business transition.
Position will be based out of our Northlake, IL location with a flexible hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on solvent-based inks for flexible packaging.
- Present Sun Chemical flexible packaging expertise with both internal customers and external customers. Including daily interactions, internal training as well as, industry events.
- Interact with all groups and levels of the Sun Chemical organization (leadership team, manufacturing, commercial, technology, technical service, supply chain, procurement).
- Organize company resources to support the business goals and initiatives.
- Responsible for Flexible Packaging product line margin including but not limited to pricing, price adjustments, RFP support and margin management projects.
- Manage critical customers and key account sales opportunities to expedite transitions to Sun Chemical products.
- Work closely with marketing to create sales collateral to support specific product lines.
- Manage daily responsibilities of a team of 3-5 direct reports.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Economics, or other related area.
- 10-15+ years of experience with solvent-based inks for flexible packaging in manufacturing environment.
- Prior leadership experience
- SAP knowledge
- Familiarity with P&L statements, margin reports as well as cost management.
- Experience in navigating large organizations and leveraging each function to support the business goals.
- Ability to travel 25-30%
