STMicroelectronics has an opportunity for a Product Marketing Engineer for General Purpose Analog in our office in Santa Clara to support our growth with our Data Storage and Data Center Key Accounts.
Role Overview:
- As a Product Marketing Engineer, the candidate will define, plan and carry out the strategy necessary for maximizing sales, market shares and margins (with the Products Division) focusing on the Products under responsibility.
- Responsible to carry out the strategies for the promotion of products and systems, technical support for our sales force and customers aimed to drive revenue and market share growth by using their knowledge of the market and technical skills to identify new opportunities in collaboration with the sales force and to propose the most appropriate technical solutions for the customer’s needs. Will write customer meeting reports ensuring all technical and business concerns are accounted for and followed-up until closure.
- Interfaces with the Product Divisions and Sales.
- Facilitates the technical presentation of the new products to the customers and to the sales force. Train distributors and sales force.
- Will analyze competition and ST’s position. Will define and implement strategies aimed to strengthen our product roadmaps and ST’s market share by identifying new potential areas of future growth, market trends, product gaps, new products and IPs needed to address our customer’s future needs.
- Will drive the technical support to sales/customers, in alignment with the application team, ensuring project completion versus plan, specifying the necessary technical support priorities and measuring new billing generated.
- Contributes to key processes such as Forecast and plan ownership (rolling forecast, Budget, 3YP), price policy, margin optimization. Prepare presentations on the focused market area and communicate them in detail to ST management and Divisions.
- Represents the organization as the principal customer contact and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. The candidate is responsible for all aspects of quality, in work, processes, and results.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- 25% overnight and 25% local travel expected.
Profile
Skills desired:
- BSEE and 7-9 years of work experience.
- Experience in Technical Sales, Product/Technical Marketing or Application Engineering for Analog integrated Circuits with a semiconductor company or distributor.
- Technical product knowledge of eFuse, Linear and switching regulators, Operational Amplifiers and other standard analog circuits
- Semiconductor industry and market knowledge
- Leadership skills; interpersonal and human relations skills
- Quick learner, independent driver, able to influence across multi-discipline/cross functional teams to achieve company established goals and expectations
- Analytical thinking and creative problem resolution skills.
- Oral and written communication skills, presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
