Production Manager Job Description

• Create a work environment that motivates and empowers team members to meet and exceed expectations for productivity, quality, waste, housekeeping, and safety.
• Identify and implement cost savings, improvement, and safety measures to boost overall performance and proficiency
• Responsible for conducting performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving issues
• Ensures that high quality manufacturing standards are maintained, and all employee trainings are completed and current
• Monitor ALL key performance indicators (KPI’s), daily performance targets, reporting metrics, and able to make proper decisions to maintain or exceed expectations
• Develop realistic operational goals with daily morning briefings pre-shift
• Able to identify employee needs and communicate to the management team of any extra help or coverage that may be required.
• Use software related to the company to complete work orders and all job-related duties
• Coordinate with other department managers to ensure timely completion of all orders
• Administer time and attendance, schedules, timecards, vacation approval and coverage
• Administer and train team to adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment
• Maintain communication with Maintenance regarding scheduled Preventative Maintenance, work orders, and unscheduled down time to optimize equipment performance
• Provide feedback to Quality Manager and VP of Operations
• Maintain a safe, efficient and quality work environment
• Report all injuries to Human Resources/VP of Operations at the time of injury, complete accident investigation paperwork.
• Complete all required training in a timely manner
• Adhere to Battle Co-Packing food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. PPE, FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• This position may also perform some of the essential duties and responsibilities of the team members within the department.
• Oversee multiple lines

Physical Requirements:

• Production Supervisor is subject to job duties but not excluded to. Long periods of standing, walking, moving, squatting and stretching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Able to read directions, operate machines, and inspect parts prior to use.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
