Production Supervisor 2nd or 3rd Shift – Michigan City, Indiana

This is a Direct Hire position on 2nd or 3rd shift with an annual salary range of $70-75k, and

you are eligible for benefits on Day 1. There are annual reviews and ratings, with a potential 5%

annual bonus.

As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for all mixing, baking, forming and packaging activities as required to safely produce quality products with the most efficient use of labor and materials on the appropriate/scheduled shifts and lines.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supervise assigned team of employees 20-80 employees per shift. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these employees. Also, directly supervise non-supervisory (lead) employees.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable federal, state and local laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training new employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
• Process a solid working knowledge of SQF and GMP policies and procedures, SAP processes, OSHA/MiOSHA regulations, HFS HPS/LEAN tools and Microsoft Office.
• Direct the conversion of raw materials to finished products with minimum waste and labor cost.

Requirements:

● Two year degree in a related business field, or equivalent work experience

● 3-5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with Baker experience a plus

● Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
● Proficient in Kronos timekeeping system and SAP both pluses.
