Job description

Perform direct assembly/ sub-assembly tasks to meet production schedules following quality and safety standards. Work is to be performed following safety guidelines and operator instruction sheets.

Duties and Responsibility:

• Operate various machines involved in the assembly of parts by inspecting and inserting pieces, activating machines, unloading and inspecting assembled parts, and placing them in the appropriate container.
• Assemble components and parts in accordance with standardized work, one-piece flow, JES’s,
• Complete daily production cards and ensure counts are correct when packing.
• Read and apply Product Manuals – operator instruction sheets, quality specifications, safety standards – to fit, sub-assemble, and assemble parts and components.
• Perform maintenance, safety checks, sensor checks and clean line machine equipment daily.
• Conduct inspections as required by operation instructions, quality alerts, inspections, first off/ lot control and certification logs.
• Provide coaching and guidance to new Assembly Operators as requested by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Required to reduce scrap/ rework.
• Must adhere to all MAFACT requirements
• Adhering to all IATF 16949 policies and procedures
• Must comply with all ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) systems and standards as it pertains to their work

Skills and Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires a high level of finger dexterity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.75 per hour
