Job description
The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a Program Administrator to provide general support for the CHASCO Family YMCA and will interact with employees, management, members, and other business associates in an outgoing, courteous manner. The Program Administrator will work Part-Time hours in the sports department. Must model relationship-building skills in all interactions, develop, and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and other staff. The Administrator will support the mission, purpose, and goals of the YMCA, while performing his/her job duties and responsibilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as Primary contact/respondent for related emails and voicemails
- Verify program registration Forms
- Assist with program registration forms, rosters, updating scores in tracking system, and provide weekly program registration reports.
- Assist with Distribution of Supplies, Uniforms, Equipment, etc…
- Assist with recruiting and tracking of coaches and coaching applications
- Organize and distribute site practice and game day equipment
- Help with clerical work as needed
- Assist with onsite program staffing needs as needed
- Assist with Staff Scheduling
- Assist with staff recruitment and interview scheduling
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); College degree preferred. Minimum six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members, participants or employees of the Association. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and show proof of insurability. Must maintain a driving record that is satisfactory with the YMCA standards. CPR/First Aid & Safety, Child Abuse Prevention.

- Must possess excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to relate well to children, to communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain positive relations with members staff, and Y leadership;
- Enthusiasm, high energy and exceptional human relations and motivational skills;
- Ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions;
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished orally, in writing, or in diagram form.
- Ability to be an articulate spokesperson for the Association and the YMCA movement as a whole;
- Commitment to the purpose of the YMCA of Central Texas.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
