Daland Swim School is a family-owned business, founded by Ingrid Daland who, after 15 years of teaching and coaching in Westlake Village, opened its doors in 1987. Since then the school has taught over 100,000 students to swim. We're looking for fun and energetic individuals to join our team.

The Program Director at Daland Swim School oversees all aspects of DSS programs, excluding swim lessons, swim team and swim camps. You will be charged with strengthening current programs and developing new ones, as well as providing strong, effective leadership to all program staff members and participants.

* this is a full time, year round position *

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage and coordinate special programs (Homeschool PE, Special Needs events, Jr. Lifeguards, Red Cross classes, Water Aerobics, High School Leadership Clubs, etc)

• Develop, manage, and oversee the programs’ operating budget.

• Meet and exceed revenue and performance goals.

• Report as required on performance and variances.

• Manage and determine program needs, including appropriate pool scheduling and usage allocation.

• Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to staff. Evaluate staff per Daland’s evaluation policy procedures and timeframe.

• Coordinate and execute an ongoing program marketing strategy. Evaluate and recommend marketing and advertising venues that align with the Daland mission.

• Coordinate American Red Cross classes and provide certificates.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider is preferred, but not required. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in program management required.

Certificates and Licenses: CPR/First Aid certification required. We provide all needed training and offer the required certifications at our facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
