We are responsible for creating and communicating the strategic perspective of our business to ensure that energy and resources are spent on the right technologies, products, and solutions We drive project execution by guaranteeing predictable launches, developing efficiency and speed, lowering spend, and therefore increasing solutions. We influence stakeholders by advocating for the transitions needed in the industry whilst maintaining a position of strength for the Volvo Group.

What You Will be Doing
As a Project Manager in the Project and Product Strategy Office you will be supporting an ongoing major project. You will work closely with the Lead Project Managers and Project Directors to drive project deliverables. With this exposure you will learn the inner workings of how small and major projects are managed within the project management team.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing Project Time plans and Project Assurance Plans.
- Managing projects under the guidance of senior management.
- Building leader support activities at pilot facilities.
- Ensuring the delivery of solutions that meet customer expectations and according to plan.
- Collaborating with various part of the organization to develop solutions.
- Make decisions following through on commitments with a clear sense of ownership.
- Utilizing project methodology such as scope, scheduling, cost, quality, and risk.
- Understanding of the business environment applying the right project control model.
Who You Are
You are a technical professional with a strong interest in Project Management. You bring high energy and passion to the projects you are engaged in and enjoy opportunities to learn new skills. You believe in cultivating innovation and are not adverse to risk taking to drive results. Working with various stakeholders you are adaptable and able to build strong collaborations across teams. You see the importance in listening to and understanding different perspectives and cultures. You believe these differences contribute to a work climate where differences are valued and supported.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of related technical work including exposure to relevant industry and business areas
- Proven success leading small product changes from start to end
- Ability to summarize complex topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Vehicle product know-how and experience, including knowledge of the complete vehicle assembly process
- Experience working in cross-functional teams managing requirements, deliverables, and milestones
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
