Our mission is to provide a full continuum of community-based mental health and substance use services for individuals residing in Charles County. We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist primarily for our behavioral health services. The position is flexible, offering a minimum of 20 hours per week but not to exceed 40 hours per week. Work is on-site.

The incumbent will provide clinical services in an area of medical specialization to patients who are mentally ill, chronically ill or developmentally disabled or are in need of medical and preventive treatment.

• Demonstrate analytical ability necessary to diagnose patients and develop and implement plans of action for long and short-term management of acute and chronic mental health problems.
• Provide appropriate referrals to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Practice utilizing the best practices of evidenced-based medicine, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
• Demonstrate substantial interpersonal skills necessary to instruct patients and their families and to collaborate with health team members

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under the Maryland State Law. A copy of current Maryland Board of Physicians and board certification should be attached to the application.
• Applicants must be board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties or other Board approved by the Maryland State Board of Physicians.
• Data 2000 Waiver

Pay: $180.00 per hour
