Job Title: P sychologist
Reports To: Director of Psychological Services
FLSA Status: Exempt


Summary

As a psychologist, you will administer direct clinical services to Epworth Psychological Service (EPS) clients. EPS is a community-based outpatient mental health clinic located in Normandy (St. Louis County), providing psychological evaluations, psychotherapy, and consultation to community members of all ages. Provisionally Licensed Psychologists will work under the supervision of licensed clinical Psychologists.


Primary Responsibilities
:

  • Provide a full range of culturally sensitive and comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments (including, but not limited to psychoeducational assessments, parenting competency assessments, psychosexual evaluations, vocational assessments, risk assessments, personality assessments, mental health screenings, and comprehensive evaluations) to children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychometric tests (including, but not limited to cognitive/IQ tests, measures of achievement, objective/projective personality tests, and symptom/behavior rating scales).
  • Prepare comprehensive reports including recommendations for intervention.
  • Potential to provide individual, couples, family, or group psychotherapy to children, adolescents, or adults as needed.
  • Assist in generating referrals through outreach activities in the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
Potential to provide supervision to EPS’ clinical interns/post-doctoral trainees as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA approved program.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in Missouri.
  • 2+ years’ experience in delivering psychological evaluations and psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues, clients, and community agencies.
  • Experience with diverse populations.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of assessment techniques, familiarity with various psychological theories and strong case conceptualization skills, and excellent knowledge of interventions/treatment modalities.

  • Excellent ability to write reports.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from clients.
  • Analytical skills including the analysis of psychometric test results.
  • The physical requirement of this job includes sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs on a regular basis, lifting to 25lbs, pulling and/or pushing on occasion.
  • Most of the work is performed in an office setting. Some evenings and weekends may be required on an as needed basis. May need to travel into the community.
  • Adheres to agency rules, policies, procedures, and code of conduct including attendance, program/department specific procedures, social media guidelines, training requirements, and confidentiality.
