Job Summary:

We are a cosmetic manufacturer company in Chatsworth, CA, looking for a skilled and motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the purchasing process in the company in the procurement of raw materials and supplies needed for production, as well as pricing formulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the COO to identify the materials and supplies required for production

• Research and evaluate potential suppliers for quality, pricing, and lead time

• Prepare purchase orders and send them to suppliers

• Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods

• Resolve any issues that may arise with suppliers, such as late deliveries or defective products
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory levels
• Assist in the negotiation of pricing and contracts with suppliers

• Collaborate with other departments, such as Production and QC, to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials

• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications:

• Experience in purchasing or supply chain management is required

• Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain logistics

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Experience with purchasing software or systems is a plus

• Familiarity with cosmetics or manufacturing industry is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
