ZLA Solutions has immediate openings for Weld Auditors with a manufacturing client in Madison, AL.
Schedule and Pay
1st Shift
> Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (OT possible daily and weekends)
2nd Shift
> Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM (daily OT probable)
3rd Shift
> Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (OT possible daily and weekends)
Pay Rate
> $17.40 / hour - $18.60 / hour (depending on job placement)
Job Description
Associates will inspect finished parts to ensure weld quality standards are met and confirm that parts are free of defective welds (burn through, off joint missing weld, spatter, porosity etc.).
Job Requirements
> Read blueprints or follow technical specifications
> Inspect parts and deem them as conforming or non-conforming per established specifications and criteria (may required repeated heavy lifting)
> Record data regarding conforming or non-conforming parts (utilizing data entry technology)
> Utilize basic mathematical and communication skills
> Adhere to appropriate dress code and proper PPE while on site as well as abide by all applicable safety rules and regulations
Job Qualifications
> Must be able to sand on your feet for 8-10 hours
> Must be available to work 6-7 days a week until further notice-HS Diplomas or GED
> Must be able to bend over as needed (typically repeatedly) to inspect units for the duration of the shift
> Must be able to retain & remember the names of multiple parts on a unit
> Must demonstrate attention to detail
> Must be able to accurately/consistently work at a fast pace in team environment
> Must be able to perform standardize work without constant direct supervision
> Must be available to work overtime as needed
> Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs
> Must be able to pass a background check & pre-employment drug screen
