. POSITION TITLE: Quality Improvement Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Family Medicine/Residency

REPORTS TO: Director, Family Medicine Residency Program

LOCATION: UTMC

RESPONSIBLITIES:
•
Assists the Director with the guiding quality improvement initiatives
within the Family Medicine Residency, Fellowship and Clerkship areas.
•
Develops quality improvement initiatives involving teams including
residents, fellow and medical assistants.
•
Utilizes quality improvement tools and techniques to complete quality
related research projects.
•
Assists with statically analysis and manuscript writing.
•
Jobholder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job
position.
•
All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Quality Management or related field required.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
• 3-5 years of quality improvement in a health care or hospital setting.
• Solid understanding of PDSA cycle, Lean, Six Sigma, quality management tools and

statistical process control.

• Excellent writing, analytical, and project management skills
