Division Description:

ITW Deltar Fasteners is a large division within the Automotive Segment and serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners. Locations include: Frankfort, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI.

Job Description


Position Summary:

Work closely with Quality Team members with Quality concerns, Quality policies or any Quality related issues. This position will be primary contact for Quality Manufacturing documentation and dimensional requirements based on Customer Requirements or internal process controls. This position is also responsible in managing the Keyence Optical Comparator and its file controls.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete annual part dimensional inspections and capability studies.
  • Provide Quality reports that support key quality metrics to various departments.
  • Develop dimensional inspection programs for Keyence Optical measuring system.
  • Coordinate annual functional (insertion/extraction) testing.
  • Complete dock audits / process audits, LPAs.
  • Organize, file and maintain material certifications.
  • Attend and support Quality Department meetings and training needs with new personnel. Offer ideas and potential solutions to process or system gaps.
  • Assist in plant processes to assure IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Support internal containment needs with responsible personnel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Quality manager.

Qualifications


Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Knowledge of Plastics/Manufacturing Industry
  • Dimensional evaluation/metrology experience
  • Strong organization skills to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload.
  • Basic PC skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Able to work on a problem-solving team
  • Verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas and exchange information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work with various levels of plant personnel.
