Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or Finance or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a Data Analyst or quantitative role.
- Experience with statistical Software (e.g., Python or R), database languages (e.g. SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or Power BI).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Data Engineering, Data Analysis or a related field.
- Experience in high data volume environments in software, internet, media or telecom industries.
- Experience effectively partnering with technical, business, and operations colleagues.
- Understanding and willingness to both teach others and constantly learn new analytical techniques and coding frameworks, etc.
- Ability to draw conclusions from data and present results or recommendations to executive audiences.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills combined with impeccable business judgment.

In this role, you will be a self-starter who is equally comfortable with writing code to mine insights out of Google’s internal ads data, analyzing external data to understand the motivations and decision-making process of YouTube’s users and advertisers, and communicating findings to senior executives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $119,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Provide analytical support and make progress to drive impact even under an ambiguous environment.
- Proactively research new ways of analyzing data to unlock actionable insights.
- Distill and communicate the essence of your technical work to audiences of all levels and across multiple functional areas while formulating robust, actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of the analytical frameworks, tools, skills, and culture which drive impact for Finance and YouTube.
- Work with a team of Product Managers, Engineers and Analysts responsible for advancing YouTube Ads business growth.
