Port Charlotte Rehabilitation Center is a 152-bed skilled nursing facility in Port Charlotte, FL. It is our mission to provide compassionate care and dedicated rehabilitative services to people in need. Port Charlotte Rehabilitation Center is committed to clearly being the provider of choice for health care and rehabilitative services in our community.

We are searching for a full-time Registered Dietitian to join our team. Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a current license to practice in the state of Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition with completion of internship and registration by the CDR.

• Previous management and clinical experience in a health care setting; preferably long term care.
• Experience with the MDS and care planning process.

Responsibilities:

• Provides consultation to the residents and families and develops nutritional goals based on the needs of the residents and in conjunction with the treating physician.
• Focuses on the overall nutritional care of the residents and understands residents' preferences.
• Documents nutritional diet information in resident charts, including changes and updates.
• Assess nutritional needs by timely reviewing resident charts.
• Develops a schedule for training and education for families and residents on nutritional programs and services.
• Manages labor budget and controls expenses in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Provides training and education to residents and families on nutritional programs and services.
• Monitors resident meals to ensure nutitritional programs are being followed and meet facility expectations.
• Develope menus that ensure good health and nutrition in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participates in various routine and non-routine meetings to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of facility outcomes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
