Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian-CDCES to work 20 hours/week at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital. Join a dynamic team of nutritional professionals in a multi-campus role within metropolitan Richmond, VA. This role will provide inpatient Diabetes Care, the hours are flexible with no weekend or holiday coverage.

The successful candidate will:
- provide inpatient diabetes education to people with Type 1 and 2 diabetes;
- provide insulin pump and glucose monitor training;
- work 20 hours per week between Henrico, Parham and Retreat Doctors’ Hospitals;
- participate in diabetes-related hospital committees;
- be involved with diabetes-related quality improvement initiatives;
- collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recommend implement, and monitor nutrition interventions;
- educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.

- Registered Dietitian credentials;
- CDCES credential preferred;
- experience in providing education and training to diabetic patients;

- the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Key Duties
- Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
- Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
- Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
- Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.
