LTAC RN Job Responsibilities

• Perform all skill, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act - Ohio Revised Code (ORC) of clinical practice
• Implement treatment and plan of care, using sound judgment and critical thinking
• Prepare clinical and progress notes and summaries of care
• Assure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
• Document observed changes in patient’s condition, situation, or care environment, and communicate to the Director of Nursing
• Proactively update client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
• Adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency of employment

LTAC RN Job Requirements

• Current unrestricted / unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
• Must have graduated from a National League of Nursing accredited program
• Minimum three (3) years of documented clinical experience
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Strong clinical and assessment skills
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with reliable and insured automobile (proof of insurance required)
• Adhere to HIPAA and ensure confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
