SCOPE/CONTACTS:
The incumbent has very frequent contact with customers, loan officers, loan assistants, and other departments of the Bank. Contacts are face-to-face, by telephone, and by written correspondence. Important in this position are strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with customers and provide outstanding customer service in person or on the phone. Incumbent has frequent face-to-face and telephone contact with customers and with employees and officers of the department and of other departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Determine customer's needs to open appropriate Demand and Savings accounts.
  • Performs loan related functions including:
    • interviewing applicants,
    • data entry,
    • making advances and payments on loans,
    • transferring money between accounts working to reduce collateral/credit exceptions,
    • processing and closing loans,
    • scanning documents,
    • light correspondence.
  • Issues and assists customers with Certificates of Deposit including Individual Retirement Accounts and maintains all associated records.
  • Incumbent must complete all necessary loan and new account documents satisfying all bank regulations and guidelines.
  • Incumbent must complete sales tracking on all customers served.
  • Actively participate in Customer Service First sales and service culture, support the values of the organization and follow established company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A self-starting team player with High school diploma or GED
  • College degree or thirty-six months customer contact and sales experience required,
  • Banking experience is preferred.
  • This position requires communication and sales skills, mathematical and general business knowledge
  • Courteous, professional demeanor along with ability to handle multi-tasks is essential.
  • Working knowledge of PC’s and word processing programs are required.
