The Service/Repair Technician will work under the direction of the Section Manager for North America Warranty and Service. This role will be on-site at our La Vergne, TN HQ.
Job Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Evaluate machines for repair or replacement.

Inspect and determine repair requirements of sewing machines. If appropriate, request additional estimates, replace defective parts, process paperwork, and return the product to the customer.

Test products to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with specifications.

Maintain a weekly repair log. Logging all repairs completed.

Meet Service Level Agreements for repair turnaround time and KPIs for repair volume and efficiency and re-repairs

Identify and communicate product quality issues as needed.

Provides concise, accurate, and sufficiently detailed data to properly track history and trends on warranty failures and repairs.

Provide technical phone/email support to customers for repair concerns as needed.

May provide technical training to retail or wholesale channels to help increase their skill level for troubleshooting and repair.

Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of machines and parts.

Ensure conformance to customer requirements and internal requirements while maintaining performance to budget.

Help to train new employees and inform them about the company's customer management policies
Represent the company on given customer trips, customer visits.

You Bring:
High School Diploma

Familiarity with computers including Windows, Microsoft and/or Google Suite

Experience using hand tools

Precise attention to detail

The motivation to learn and constantly improve processes and tools

The people skills needed to work with (various teams and stakeholders, vendors, etc.)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization a plus

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to use measurement devices

It Would Be Great If You Have:
Repair experience in a similar field, electronics or electrical education

Working knowledge of sewing machines, (sewing, selling, or repairing)
Vocational Training
You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer, etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

Communicate effectively with customers through multiple forms of technology, including telephone and computer. Must be able to receive and convey information
Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
