QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold a current nursing license for the state of RI
- Ability to communicate plans to all care providers
- Knowledge and ability to assess the effects of medications and treatments and monitor these effects to provide appropriate feedback to the interdisciplinary team and medical managers
- Prior long-term care experience is preferred, but not required
- Ability to assess and diagnose health care needs of residents
- Thorough understanding of resident rights to protect and treat residents, staff, and community
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct nursing assistants to ensure quality care is provided
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, and providers
- Meet with staff in planning shifts services and programs
- Perform charting and documentation policies procedures
- Administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
- Complete assessments, care plans, treatments, etc.
