QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a current nursing license for the state of RI
• Ability to communicate plans to all care providers
• Knowledge and ability to assess the effects of medications and treatments and monitor these effects to provide appropriate feedback to the interdisciplinary team and medical managers
• Prior long-term care experience is preferred, but not required
• Ability to assess and diagnose health care needs of residents
• Thorough understanding of resident rights to protect and treat residents, staff, and community

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct nursing assistants to ensure quality care is provided
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, and providers
• Meet with staff in planning shifts services and programs
• Perform charting and documentation policies procedures
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
• Complete assessments, care plans, treatments, etc.
