As the Sales Director- Industrial you will be responsible for the overall performance of Sales within a specific geography. Charged with implementing sales development programs, both short and long-range, targeted toward existing and new markets in line with company goals and objectives by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services and implements strategic marketing and sales plans.
  • Act as the primary Coach and Mentor, in person, for salespeople in the territory.
  • Ensure all opportunities in the territory are in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and up to date.
  • Provide frequent gap analysis and corrective action for field sales activity against company KPIs.
  • Develop and manages sales operating budgets.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Assist Marketing with planning advertising and promotion activities, including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • Recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to Marketing and Engineering to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Evaluate market research and adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.
  • Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Act as liaison between the sales department and other sales-related units.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Review and analyzes sales performances against program quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Manage and directs subordinate employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.
  • Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management and internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college) required, Field of Study: Engineering or Business preferred

Experience: 10-plus years of experience in sales and marketing.

Five plus years of related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.

Computer Skills: CRM, ERP, MS Office

Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver's license

Pay: $85,462.00 - $140,242.00 per year
