Key Result Areas:
- Sales
- Increase sales of tools, fasteners, safety PPE, fire stop and caulking products, masking and floor protection.
- Understand and meet our customer’s service expectations and product needs
- Identifies new sales opportunities and market trends
- Grow sales in defined product categories per management.
- Maintain and grow sales with contractors, general contractors, facility and maintenance divisions for hospitals, schools, property management companies, government entities, etc.
- Meet or exceed sales and gross profit objectives.
- Negotiates customer pricing within established pricing matrix.
- Follows up on sales or product leads.
- Communicate and implement sales programs/promotions directly and effectively to sub-contractors, General Contractors, GTS employees and vendors.
- Generate customer loyalty with a high level of customer service.
- Customer Service
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer and vendor relationships.
- Provide superior customer service through professional communication and on-time delivery
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Safety and Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and obstacle-free work area.
- Operate equipment only of which they are fully trained, qualified and authorized to use.
- Perform work in a safe manner and assists others as needed.
- Adheres to all GMS/GTS personnel policies and guidelines.
- Skills and Experience Required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (an MVR will be required initially and reviewed periodically).
- Demonstrated ability to forecast and meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work and manage time effectively – a self-starter.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an integral member of a team to meet company objectives.
- Ability to work independently and make good decisions in the field.
- Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
- Formal training, education or experience in marketing and sales.
- Thorough knowledge of company products and their use.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to remain courteous and professional while under pressure.
- Profit margin calculations and an understanding of business financials
- Computer literate with strong grasp of various operating systems and hardware/trouble shooting skills.
