BWXT is currently seeking an SAP Developer for its Lynchburg, VA location!

The SAP Developer will work from functional specifications to create forms, reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows as required for SAP implementations using specific technologies. This will require the ability to work and communicate in a cleared and sensitive environment and to quickly turn specifications into finished deliverables as part of scheduled projects. This role will offer a hybrid schedule contingent upon program needs.

Job Description/Duties:

• Performs developer technical activities by following tech/functional specs.
• Develops, configures and performs unit testing.
• Delivers projects and tasks on time and on budget as per approved scope with minimal rework.
• Collaborates with teams to understand requirements needs for forms, reports, interfaces, enhancements and workflows.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Must possess at least seven (7) years of related experience.
• Must possess a broad background in SAP development technologies, particularly ABAP, Web Services, Webdynpro, SAP Workflow, SAP Portal Development.
• Must have demonstrable experience with SAP ALE/IDOC inter-instance data transfer.
• Very strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving track record.
• Strong communications and collaboration skills, able to work well within a team and also lead other programmers as needed in complex initiatives.
• Solid understanding of overall SAP technologies to provide input to BWXT-SAP technology roadmap.
• Experience with SAP HANA is a plus.
• Experience supporting manufacturing applications in discrete manufacturing or the defense industry is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
