Project Description:

This role will augment an existing Database team supporting an expansive Geospatial Information System (GIS) systems development and sustainment team. The system will be migrating from on premise hardware to a cloud environment and this position will support that effort. The program operates under an agile framework that will guide the tasks undertaken. While the position is remote there is an established and growing team for collaboration based remotely as well as at Maxwell / Gunter Annex and Langley, AFB.

Project Goals/Scope:

Improving the security baseline of the system

• Reduction of reliance upon on-premises hardware used in the current solution

• Migration to the identified government approved cloud solution (Air Force Cloud One AWS)

• Providing the government with a reliable estimate and velocity capable of achieving a minimum viable product (MVP) and achieving full product migration within the time constraints of the remaining contract.

Role Requirement:

Secret Clearance
CISSP Certified

Understanding of AWS/Cloud technologies

Experience with collaboration tools including Jira/Confluence

Significant experience providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

Experience leading teams through the delivery of capabilities (software development or infrastructure modernization) using agile methodologies

Significant experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
