Compensation:
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $17.75- $17.75
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Gallo’s Canandaigua Winery is seeking a seasonal weighmaster to support the intake of grapes during our peak season. As a member of our team, you'll work closely our Grower Relations staff and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of winemaking the accurate weighing of truckloads of grapes and various inbound materials used in the winemaking process. You will be responsible for updating paperwork and all associated record keeping to ensure a successful season.
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

• Performs accurate and timely weighing in and out of trucks.
• Prepares the Grape Tank Report, Grape Weigh Tag Display Report, Wine Program Report, and Grape Varietal Report.
• Maintains adequate housekeeping in work areas and cleans up after completion of the job and at the end of the shift.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Required to be at least 18 years of age.
• Skilled in basic math, 10 key data entry, and auditing skills.
• Required to lift and move standard office equipment and supplies that weigh up to 10 pounds.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Skilled in using a copy machine, telephone, and ten-key adding machine.
• Required to work a six (6) day workweek, eight to twelve (8-12) hours per day when necessary.
• Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
