WORLD SPA is New York City’s premiere, largest, and most diverse Spa Destination in a class by itself located in the heart of Brooklyn. WORLD SPA is the first of its kind to offer a global, authentic, and unmatched spa experience by preserving ancient practices and uniting various culturally authentic sauna, bathing, and spa treatments in one destination. We are currently seeking honest, diligent, astute, and passionate Security Guards who are interested in pursuing an exciting career opportunity with the WORLD SPA Brand at our Flagship Location. Candidates must be team players, want career growth, and who are enthusiastic and committed to removing trespassers, detaining those involved in criminal activity, investigating suspicious persons, responding promptly to alarms, and providing exceptional customer service to guests.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements

• Patrols and monitors facilities; reports suspicious activities to Management and the local authorities.

• Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds for our Spa, Restaurant Outlets, and Member's Club.

• Contact law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.

• After business hours, check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.

• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.

• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.

• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chief of Security and or Upper Management, e.g., Director of Facilities Operations.

• Meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction; respond to guest questions or problems in a timely, professional manner.

• Meet the WORLD SPA standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, attendance, and punctuality.

• Check Saunas, Aquatics, Spa Treatment Rooms, Spa Treatment Center, Spa Front and Back of House, and Food and Beverage Outlets, etc., to ensure smooth operations.

• Ensure that Security Policies and Procedures are enforced with other staff and guests.

• Ensure that property/facilities are energy efficient (conserving energy).

• Ensure/maintain key control.

• Maintain current CPR certification.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas.

• Make safety and security patrols of property/ facilities in a timely manner, report to management any unusual observations.

• Protect guests and employees from harm and prevent theft and/or destruction of property.

• Report all unsafe conditions immediately to Management.

• Write shift reports and security incident reports and hand them to the next individual on the shift so they know where you left off.

• Create, log, and submit Incident Reports.

• Process and log lost and found articles.

• Confront guests and employees involved in unsafe/illegal acts.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Chief of Security and or Upper Management

• Attend mandatory meetings.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.

• Authoritative verbal communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

• Ability to learn the layout of the facilities.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Security guard training certification preferred.

• 2+ years experience in law enforcement and or related fields.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.

• Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Monday- Friday
