Position Overview
The Senior Director of Commercial Strategy leads a team that drives cross-functional initiatives in support of commercial training, internal meetings, event planning, speaker programs, and Medical, Legal and Regulatory review. This leader and team is responsible for planning and executing programs, initiatives, and processes in support of the commercial organization and business units. This leader will build and implement best practices, processes and a comprehensive training curriculum in support of an evolving, growth commercial organization. Additionally, this colleague will work closely alongside operations leaders and other cross-functional partners, e.g. marketing, to prioritize initiatives and effectively create and deliver content to various audiences.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Continue to evolve our approach to training and planning for internal/external events.
- Establish opportunities and cases to build capabilities around marketing operations and other core capabilities.
- Advise and drive process and documentation around current and gaps with processes and roles and responsibilities with field engagement.
- Plan for support and future integration of products and a portfolio approach to representing our products.
- Work closely with commercial leaders, screening, PO and PG, to establish metrics (OKRs) and action plans to measure core capabilities with regards to marketing, sales activity and other initiatives.
- Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
- Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
- Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
- Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
- Ability to travel 40% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or field as outlined in the essential duties).
- 12+ years of experience in sales or commercial related function.
- 5+ years of experience directly leading teams.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare industry in Marketing, Sales, Service, or Operations.
