PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
Reporting into the VP of Product Development, the Senior Electrical Engineer has responsibility for working as part of a team to develop and deploy SOFC systems. The Senior Electrical Engineer will work to identify system components (inverters, batteries, etc,) to work in conjunction with the SOFC system, as well as managing integration projects within Upstart and our partners.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the successful design and troubleshooting/test of electrical/electronic hardware systems.
- Provide technical leadership for new product design, system integration and controls, production test equipment
- Selection of electrical/electronic and related components for design
- Interface with procurement and suppliers to develop custom components
- Hands on troubleshooting of electronics assemblies and developing and executing test plans with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and day-to-day execution support for Product Development
- Writing/preparation/presentation technical presentations, including requirements, procedures and test results/design reviews.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering (required)
- A Minimum of 8 year’s experience in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years’ experience with power electronics (AC & DC)
- Detailed knowledge of electrical/electronic components and their characteristics and applications
- Experience with electromechanical system
- Familiarity with control systems a plus
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware with embedded systems (C++) a plus
- Demonstrated capability for critical thinking
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and good listening skills
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment

Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
