Job description
This is a role supporting General Ledger activities in a shared service environment.
Key accountabilities
Work closely with Business units and finance operations to ensure all GL entries are duly taken up each month end such as preparing, keying in of journals on accruals, reversals and amortisation entries.
- Responsible for timely and accurate month end closing in accordance with the established closing schedule for relevant entities assigned
- Monitor the stock position and drug costs to ensure they are correctly reflected in the financial statements.
- Ensure intercompany balances & related party transactions’ are reconciled.
- Responsible for performing bank reconciliation for the main bank account.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliation and schedules. Ensure that aged and reconciling items are follow up promptly.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly corporate tax schedules and checklist.
- Ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time such as stocktake exercise, assist in checking Doctor's incentive and quarterly submission of GST.
- Ensure staff benefits under IR8A forms are correctly reported.
- Support any other assigned ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accountancy/ Diploma in Accountancy / Partial ACCA
- Candidates with no experience are welcomed to apply.
- Familiar with SAP, Hyperion, Cognos are highly desirable
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Meticulous and has good number sense
- Diligent, proactive, resourceful and a good team player
