We Are Seeking

Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Organizational Development Consultant who is innovative, driven, and passionate about growing and developing people. The Organizational Development Consultant role is simple: Work hard every day to help all employees of the Town of Gilbert be better. You are also someone who:

• 
  Will help create a culture of growth and development through effective communication techniques and relationship building.
• Collects data to improve processes and fulfill needs across all stages and all levels of the organization.
• Is creative in finding new ways to analyze, track and deploy learning and performance solutions to meet organizational goals.
• Is self-confident and has a communication style that can enliven, engage and positively impact others.
• Designs and deploys inclusive learning and performance experiences, always keeping your intended audience top of mind.
• Focuses on strategy and takes action to implement strategies for organizational change, transformation, and alignment.
• Can have a one on one coaching session with an underperforming, or high-performing employee, but can also lead/facilitate team sessions or organizational trainings in the modality that best suits the audience.

Additional role functions may include:

• Serve as team trainer and mentor in areas of facilitation, content design, and LMS utilization.
• Identify and evaluate external learning and performance vendors to provide effective development curricula.
• Develop partnerships with other professional training personnel, including other agencies, and Town departments, to develop effective curricula using adult learning principles.
• Openly receive feedback and work to make enhancements where opportunities are identified.
• Recommend, implement, deliver, and evaluate learning and performance solutions.
• Collaboratively work with departments and personnel at all levels in developing strategies and tactics to manage, maintain, and improve performance levels by linking workplace learning to people performance.
• Collaborate with Business Partners and Town leadership to draft and deliver effective Performance Improvement Plans as needed.
• Oversee regularly scheduled programs and processes related to performance development, including but not limited to, goal setting, performance evaluations, new leader assimilation.

About You

Candidates must possess the following:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, adult education, instructional design, communications, or related field.
• 10 years of professional-level experience in Organizational Development.
• 5 years of experience with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) curricula and employee/leadership development programs.
• 1-3 years in talent management and development, strategic planning, process improvement or related field
• Prior management experience in business or human resources preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt-ineligible for overtime compensation.
This department is currently working remotely. Remote work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue remote work arrangements at any point.

Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona by hire date.
