The Senior Production Planner will be responsible for the execution of the master production schedule and for maintaining effective inventory levels and transactional accuracy. The Senior Production Planner also shall ensure Materials and Resource Planning system integrity through understanding, maintenance and proper use of planning parameters. Use knowledge and problem-solving skills to guide the manufacturing team and coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering and Customers Service to make sure sales and delivery targets are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, coordinating and communicating the daily, weekly and monthly production schedule including the creation and release of work orders.
• Monitor capacity, level loads and adjust plans as appropriate.-
• Prioritize and communicate schedules, delivery dates and shortages with sourcing team, Customer Service and Manufacturing personnel.
• Analyze the MRP and execute accordingly, preparing work orders, following up on shortages to ensure availability of components. Be prepared to provide up to the minute updates on daily & weekly schedule performance.
• Proactively communicate foreseeable issues to Production, Sales, Customer Service and other relevant partners and coordinate with Operations on any critical schedules and/or priorities.
• Monitor and update MRP data for the planning factors, including; safety stock, lead-time, order multipliers, minimum order quantity and others

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or an equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in factory environment within production planning and scheduling.
• Demonstrated proficiency in technology and computers, with advanced skills in creating spreadsheets
• Proven expertise in tracking and analyzing MRP variables (e.g., lead times, order policies and modifiers, BOMs, bills of operations, Kanban material flow and product manufacturing strategies)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently level load plans and understand capacity analysis
• Needs an understanding of concept such as lead-time, safety stocks, production capacities and WIP ratios.
• Must have knowledge in bill of material structures and basic knowledge of cost accounting.
• Ability to effectively present information to peers and co-workers both in a formal and informal setting and capable to lead cross-functional meetings regarding attainment of production schedules.
• Willingness to travel 5% of the time

The annual salary range for this role in California and Washington is $81,000 - $110,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
