Job Description:

Essential Job Functions

• Installing and configuring new systems and applications, including operating systems, databases, web servers, and other infrastructure components Installing applications such as operating systems, databases, web servers, and other infrastructure components
• Troubleshooting problems with hardware and software, including responding to support requests from users
• Monitoring server performance to identify problems and make adjustments to improve performance
• Managing the use of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle VM, or Citrix XenServer
• Installing patches and updates to operating systems and applications to ensure optimal performance
• Creating disaster recovery plans and procedures for responding to major outages or natural disasters affecting the data center

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred
• Six or more years of functional area experience (i.e. finance, human resources, procurement, information technology, etc.)
• Experience working with organizational functional and personnel.
• Experience working with fax machines, computer software and telephone technology.
• Experience working with help desk software.

• Good communications skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to understand and apply regulations applying to functional area.
