POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction, responsible for designing and/or creating, maintaining, deploying, and managing SSRS reports for internal business teams and our customers. Candidates will work collaboratively with IT staff, and business stakeholders to create, maintain, and support analytic reports and BI dashboards in a compliant, regulated environment. Escalate concerns to project management or Team Lead, assist in determining best practices and provide suggestions on how to improve current practices. Serves as a data analyst performing research and requirement analysis, creation and design of data specifications and mapping documents, and presents findings to appropriate team members, clients and vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Duties and Responsibilities
o Facilitates and/or participates in JAD (Joint Application Design), RAD (Rapid Application Development) and DSD (Design Specifications Document) sessions to define and understand the business requirements and present detailed systems design documentation for data interface files, data conversion and any other method of data exchange.
o Works aggressively to define project scope. Ties data interface roster elements back to a valid requirement.
o Works with the customer and account management to control the scope of the project.
o Responds to action items by assigned due dates.
o Escalates concerns to project management, such as delays or risks of delays as early as possible.
o Creates accurate data mapping documents according to the mapping process.
o Works toward delivering a first draft solution to ETL developers for coding, by rapidly understanding which details about the mapping can be deferred.
o Supports DSD creation and response.
o Work with customers, Business SME's and application development teams to understand requirements
o Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts
o Experience diagnosing and resolving in incident tickets and errors
o Developed ETL specifications, data mapping and other documentation required for ETL development.
o Uses SQL, data models, data element dictionary and schema to perform data and business analysis
o Generate reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) using table control, matrix control for cross tab reports.
o Integrate SSRS reports with Tableau using features such as data pops, filtering and authoring and deploy them on Dashboard.
o Developed several behavioral reports and data points creating complex SQL queries and stored procedures using SSRS and Excel 2007.
o Created Cross-Tab, Drill-down, Drill-down and Sub-Report using and linked reports using SQLSERVER Reporting Services (SSRS)
o This individual is responsible for understanding business data and performing quality assurance testing to ensure the data presented is correct.
o Create documentation and best practices
o At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft SQL Server Database, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS is required

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


o 2 to 3 years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server BI Suite and SSRS
o 2 to 3 years of experience with MS-SQL scripting (required)
o 2+ years SQL Server version 2014 or higher (required)
o Experience in a Healthcare IT working with claims, member and provider data strongly desired.
o Previous Work with analyzing, monitoring healthcare plan data focusing on medical claim and financial processing member eligibility processing, provider networks and MCO contract details, auditing and reporting in compliance with Federal and State requirements
o Knowledge of Payment Reform methodologies under the Affordable Care Act and related initiatives in the Medicaid space
o Analytical skills in a SQL environment
o Experience with QNXT or FACETS Healthcare Payer Platforms preferred
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to abide by Gainwell policies
o Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work
o Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
o Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, and customers
