Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as regional lead and project lead for project development, including: negotiation of site control agreements, managing site surveys and due diligence, securing land use and environmental approvals, and advancing projects through the interconnection process. Additional tasks may include, but are not limited to, obtaining project easements, curative title work, and assisting with energy marketing.

2. Coordinate all development and greenfield activities for assigned territory, including soliciting and procuring deliverables from external consultants and coordinating internal strategy and market evaluation activities.

3. Ensure project financial models are kept up to date. Strive to improve competitiveness of assigned projects. Manage the internal financial approval process for assigned development projects in alignment with company strategy and goals.

4. Manage project budgets, objectives, schedules, and deliverables for assigned development projects.

5. Conduct risk analyses/assessments and recommend mitigation measures.

6. Coordinate with internal teams on interconnection, new market evaluation, and power marketing.

7. Interface with and coordinate inputs from subject matter experts, including engineering, legal, procurement, and construction personnel, as needed to ensure effective execution of assigned solar projects.

Qualifications:

1. 7+ years of work experience. Preference for 3-5+ years of development experience applicable to renewable energy, ideally solar PV Wind or BESS in the United States.

2. Experience in the full project development life-cycle, including market analysis, origination/greenfielding, permitting, late-stage development, and project financing and equity transactions.

3. Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary internal and external teams to develop and assess risks to project pipeline.

4. Proven ability to guide and mentor less experienced team members and complete assigned tasks on schedule.

5. Proven analytical skills and presentation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $160,000.00 per year
