F.H. Paschen’s Mid-Atlantic Region located in Northern Virginia is looking for new valued team members with strong leadership and communication skills. This Group specializes in building long-term relationships with repeat clients in municipal, mass transit, education, and recreation by adapting to an owner’s preferred method of construction (Design-Bid-Build, Job Order Contracting, Multiple Award Task Order Contracts, Design-Build, and Construction Manager @ Risk) As the Project Manager, you are primarily responsible for project financials, schedule, risk management, quality, and client relationships and needs.

Assigned Responsibilities*:
This position is a managerial position responsible for contracts and/or work orders that reports to the General Manager.

• Represent and demonstrate the values of F.H. Paschen: tenacity, versatility, ingenuity and pride.
• Responsible for P&L for projects assigned
• Responsible for client relationships and ability to develop new business through new and existing clients
• Create a project team atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork amongst its members
• Responsible for the management of the entire project, including scheduling, purchasing, quality and safety.
• Ability to participate in preconstruction services, including estimating and value engineering
• Supervisory responsibility for Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Construction Interns assigned to contracts
• Collaborate and monitor Superintendent’s performance on contracts
• Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners
• Point of contact for project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers and more
• Understand details of project scope of work
• Create and maintain project cost reports
• Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners Develop field quality assurance and quality control plan with Superintendent
• Collaboration of project safety plan with Superintendent(s)
• Responsible for managing MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements
• Responsible for EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering and / or 10+ years of construction experience.
• Experience in education, municipal, and mass transit markets is preferred.
• Experience running projects over $20mil
• Well versed in government and municipal contracts
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management.
• Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling, good communication and organizational skills are necessary.
