Summary
Nisga’a TEK, LLC is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator. This person will be responsible for the support and administration of the IT infrastructure. Technologies that are supported by this role are virtualization, various servers, and network equipment. This employee will be responsible for implementing new technologies and performing analysis, upgrades, maintenance, documentation, and technical support.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of operational, test, and development systems with a goal of maintaining system operations
- Reviews and approves subcontractor hardware and software, changes, and implementations for required system or OS security updates
- Conducts or assists with both network and system level network penetration tests
- Deployment and management of software applications into production environments, including Cloud environments
- Managing server side applications
- Configuring, installing, and deploying web server technologies
- Using Enterprise service delivery and IT ticketing systems
- Implementing remote troubleshooting, diagnostics and performing system backups
- Maintains deployed hardware and system configuration inventory, licenses, and asset data.
- Develops and refine procedures for identifying and mitigating common system issues
- Supports system-level testing for resilience, redundancy, and performance
- Working as part of team of developers and cybersecurity professionals to meet mission requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience installing, configuring and administering
- Experience collecting and evaluating OS performance data and identifying security level gaps and improvements
- Experience with network monitoring and configuration capture tools
- Experience working in a configuration-managed operational environment with rigorous security controls is advantageous
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, issue tracking, and collaboration tools
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Associate degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience, augmented by ongoing academic/technical training and/or certification programs specific to the work unit hardware/software tools
- Minimum five (5) or more years a System Admin
- Minimum five (5) years managing active directory based networks
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)* or equivalent
- SPR/SAR access, DCID 6/4 eligible with current SSBI
- DoD 8570.01-M IA Certification matched to assigned duties
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology field
- Experience or current security certifications in one or more of the following (or equivalent)
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
