The Role
We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a US Senior Tax Analyst to join our Tax team for a newly created role within Group Finance of Christie’s, an international auction house with presence in approximately 30 countries globally. Christie’s Tax team is proactive in its management of Christie’s tax affairs and partners with businesses and senior stakeholders.
The role will report into the US Tax Manager and would best suit someone with US indirect tax audit experience. This position is a 12-month fixed term contract.
In addition to tax technical capabilities, the candidate must be a self-starter, demonstrating strong work ethics and good attention to detail.
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Focus on audit defense

Support continuous improvements to tax processes

Assist and support other team members of the tax function by performing ad hoc tax analyses, analytical support, and assistance with other special projects as needed
The Candidate
-
Bachelor’s Degree required
-
Minimum of 4 years work experience
-
Experience in audit defense required
-
Familiarity with JD Edwards a plus

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
-
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
-
Strong verbal and written communication and team skills
-
Strong personal management skills
-
Self-motivated and can take a task from start to finish with minimal supervision
