JOB SCOPE

  • Responsible for handling food and beverage orders and serving guests.
  • Provide friendly, excellent service to all Guests by escorting them to their respective seats.
  • Assist fellow Team Members to perform preparation and setting up in the restaurants for food service and ensure all available amenities and utensils are properly stocked and inspected prior to service.
  • Assist guests on their respective requests, conduct suggestive and up-selling, well-versed in all aspects of the menu.
  • Assume at all times a pleasing and helpful attitude towards each Guest.
  • Involved in training program.
  • Ensuring that the closing and opening checklist of the restaurant is properly filled and maintained weekly in the file folder.
  • Understand the customer, who they are, their expectations and how to effectively manage their part of the overall service experience to ensure repeat custom.
  • Communicate relevant information regularly, efficiently, and concisely to the team and manager.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, taste, appearance, and food preparation.
  • Know the sequence of service as outlined in the service manual / handbook.
  • Ensure all food is delivered to your tables quickly and efficiently and adjust timing to meet the needs of the guest(s).
  • Communicate with MOD for important tables and VIPs.
  • Assist the runner in service food for your station and others.
  • Communicate with other team members in your station and assist them as needed.
  • Communicate any potential guest issues / complaints to the MOD.
  • Clean and always maintain physical work area and perform sidework duties as per the SOP.
  • Be able to handle multiple duties at once.
  • Maintain high grooming standard following Marina Bay Sands guidelines.
  • Attend line-ups with other staff and review all information pertinent to the day’s business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Secondary school education with ‘O’ Level passes; Diploma in any field is an advantage
  • Minimum 1 year in a guest service / guest contact role, preferably in a hospitality organization
  • Possess food hygiene and safety certification
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends & public holidays
