VIKING Life-Saving Equipment A/S is a global market leader in maritime, offshore and fire safety, providing and servicing safety and fire-fighting equipment for passenger and cargo ships, offshore installations, fishing vessels, the Navy, helicopter services, fire departments and leisure yachts.

VIKING is looking for a colleague for our Service Planning team located in Miami, FL. The successful individual will be responsible for efficient and friendly service planning and coordination. This position requires a team player able to interact with colleagues in different departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Service Planner, you are working with

· Planning and coordinating customer centric service on safety equipment within VIKINGs service global service network

· VIKINGs digital service planning platform and systems

· Collaboration with colleagues locally and globally

· Ensuring that work is done according to established standards and methods

· Logistics planning: customs, scheduling of delivery/pickup

· Ensure local resource planning (Shop Floor Planning) is up to date (i.e register absence)

· Order management incl. quotations and order creation

COMPETENCES

· Customer oriented

· Service-minded approach

· Excellent communication in English is required, both verbal and in writing

· Experience in logistics planning is a plus

· Analytical & conceptual thinking

· Experience working in an Inventory Control, Materials, Purchasing, and/or Production Planning environment

· Knowledge in the use of ERP Software (such as SAP) is an advantage but not a requirement

· Background in or knowledge of the maritime business preferable
