Overview:
Stansberry Research, one of the largest independent financial research publishers in the US, is looking for a dynamic Social Media Strategist to help drive our social efforts to the next level. As part of the Lead Generation team, you will be responsible for organically growing and strengthening our social presence across our “core” networks (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube), as well as expanding our reach into other social channels. The Social Media Strategist will focus on leveraging our large library of content (podcasts, videos, articles, and free reports) to organically grow our audience and create new opportunities for engagement. This role will work closely with both our Marketing and Copy teams with the multifaceted focus of bringing people into our community (driving them to conversion funnels for both our free and paid products) as well as provide information back to those teams on what content and ideas are dominating the social sphere. The ideal candidate will have an eye on the overall social media strategy and hunger for data to analyze and work with the larger Marketing team to understand the impact our social efforts are having.

This role is based out of Baltimore, Maryland office with 3 days in the office.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the strategy for the social media function with the goal to increase audience reach.
  • Manage and execute the daily publication of content across all owned social channels with the goal to organically grow our social media communities and introduce people to our additional free and paid products
  • Real-time monitoring of social channels for both engagement and flagging and correcting any issues
  • Conduct social listening efforts to identify trends relevant to our marketing and copy teams and communicate the finds as appropriate
  • Analyze data to measure the impact of our social efforts and execute plans to improve our social media, editorial, and copy efforts based on that feedback
  • Strategize, schedule, and execute the plan to improve our social presence for our core brands, as well as for our individual financial “gurus”
  • Engage with social feedback to improve the impact of our posts and drive potential customers to our content
Qualifications:
  • At least five years working in social media marketing, and comfortable with the back-end businesses managers of Facebook, Twitter, and others
  • A proven track record of creating, executing, and analyzing an organization's strategic social plan with direct ties to revenue.
  • Strong ability to use data analytics to gauge the success of organic campaigns, modify them as necessary, and effectively communicate results
  • Experience with managing content publication through a CMS like Hootsuite, Sprout, Meltwater, etc.
  • Experience crafting copy for organic social posts and audience interaction
  • Comfort with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, as well as the internal reporting tools of primary social platforms
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and a history of working well across a large team environment
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • Visual acuity for reading and using the computer

  • Ability to communicate with others in order to exchange information
