Job Title: Software Development Engineer (SDE) - Full Stack

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: Director, Engineering - Baseball Systems

Status: Exempt


Primary Objective
: We are seeking a Software Development Engineer – Full Stack to join our baseball engineering team and help develop and maintain our baseball systems and platforms. As a Software Development Engineer – Full Stack, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for both the front-end user interface and back-end API applications. You will work closely with teams within Technology Solutions and Baseball Operations to identify software requirements and design solutions that support the organization's needs. With your expertise in both front-end and back-end development, you will play a key role in ensuring that our systems are accessible and easy to use for all members of the organization. Essential Functions
:

  • Design and develop new applications and features.
  • Collect requirements for new features from non-technical users and implement them accordingly.
  • Identify and correct application bugs quickly.
  • Document code and support procedures thoroughly.
  • Train end users on new applications/features.
  • Work closely with analysts to develop new features.
  • Perform ad hoc queries and analysis in troubleshoot and support front office.
  • Collect relevant, publicly available data using various applications.
  • Work closely with Development and IT team with user administration and general troubleshooting.
  • Maintain existing software applications.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.


Education
and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business, or a related field required. Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management. Professional certification preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a development role required.
  • Experience in enterprise software and database design, architecture, development, and support with the majority using Microsoft development technologies.
  • Experience with more than one and a working knowledge of all the following key technologies: C#, SQL, SQL Server, Java, WPF, Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, RESTful Web Services, SSRS, ODBC, JDBC.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms and continuous integration preferred.

The anticipated range of base compensation for this role is $110,000 to $125,000 annually. In addition, we offer eligible Team Members a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a competitive 401(k) company match.
