We are looking for a talented, analytical, and passionate software engineer to join our Singapore based team. We welcome all levels of experience, from fresh graduates to experienced architects, and will assess seniority as part of our interview process.
This is a largely remote position with occasional in-person days at our Singapore office (CBD). We offer a flexible working environment where delivering on goals is more important than the number of hours.
Job purpose
Responsible for developing HGX products for the next phase of growth along with our vision.
Roles and responsibilities
- Implement technology solutions in support of our technology architecture and business objectives
- Write or review code for various products, ensuring quality and responsiveness
- Collaborate with partner / vendor engineering teams on integration and launching of new features
- Maintain code integrity with a focus on good organisation, security, and data protection
- Integrate third-party APIs, or work on our own APIs for third-parties to integrate
- Assist in tech operations, facilitate standards, and drive quality within the team
- Contribute to or lead the recruitment and development of a top engineering team
- Drive engineering thought leadership internally and externally through coaching and mentoring talent
You’ll be a great fit for us if you
- At least 2 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Our tech stack currently consists of Go, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, React / Angular, Ruby on Rails, and a bit of Node.js. Ideally you have familiarity with most of these technologies, but we are agnostic to your language background if you can demonstrate the core concepts of object-oriented and functional programming.
- Have had some exposure to building API/services-oriented architecture - REST, idempotent APIs, , Lambda/Kappa architecture, OAuth, token authentication, SQL, Redis and caching
- Are proficient at writing and running units tests, and ideally have had some exposure to automated and performance testing
- Infra and DevOps - AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, immutable infra and CI/CD tooling
BONUS ATTRIBUTES
- Understanding of blockchain and/or smart contracts
- An interest in markets, exchanges, and financial services
- Prior experience working on open-source or leading large software projects
